Lara Caravello
Lara Caravello is an accomplished Italian volleyball player, currently serving as a Libero for the local team Cuneo Granda San Bernardo. She has achieved notable success, including winning gold and silver medals in the Women’s Champions League and a silver medal in the Women’s Club World Championship. Additionally, she has secured two titles each in the Italian Serie A1, Italian Cup, and Italian Supercup.
Born on May 4, 1994, in Udine, Italy, Lara began her volleyball journey in her childhood, honing her abilities at youth clubs Rizzi Udine and Libertas Martignacco.
Lara Caravello turned professional in 2012, transitioning from the youth ranks to the senior team of Itas Citta Fiera Martignacco, where she competed in the Italian Serie B2. In her debut season, the team won their group and advanced to the Italian Serie B1, where she played for the subsequent three seasons. During this period, she gained valuable experience and established herself as a pivotal player for the club.
In 2016, she joined Volley Soverato in the Italian Serie A2. In her single season with the team, they achieved a 4th place finish in the league and 5th in the Italian Cup A2.
The following year, Lara Caravello returned to Itas Citta Fiera Martignacco, contributing to the team’s victory in the Italian Serie B1 and their promotion to the higher league. In the 2018/2019 season, her team placed 10th in the Italian Serie A2 but secured a bronze medal in the Italian Cup A2.
In 2020, she signed with the prestigious Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano. During her two seasons with the club, they accomplished a treble in Italy, winning the Italian Serie A1, Italian Cup, and Italian Supercup. In the 2020/2021 season, her team also triumphed in the Champions League, while the following season saw them earn silver in both the Champions League and the Club World Championship.
In 2022, Lara Caravello joined another elite club, Cuneo Granda San Bernardo, where the team finished 12th in the Italian Serie A1 and 5th in the Italian Cup.
