Hristina Vuchkova
Hristina Vuchkova is a prominent Bulgarian volleyball player, serving as a central blocker for both the Bulgarian national team and the Turkish club Fenerbahce Opet. She achieved the title of European League champion in 2018.
Born in Hristina Vuchkova, Bulgaria, she began her volleyball journey during her school years and honed her abilities at the youth club CSKA Sofia.
Vuchkova made her professional debut with CSKA Sofia in 2008. After one season with the team, she transferred to Levski Sofia, where she also played for a single season.
In 2010, she returned to CSKA Sofia, where she celebrated success by becoming the Bulgarian League champion and the Bulgarian Cup winner for the 2010/2011 season.
Following a highly successful season, she relocated to Italy and joined Norda Foppapedretti Bergamo to compete in the Italian Serie A1 and the Champions League. The team achieved victory in the Italian Supercup and secured 4th place in the Italian Serie A1, as well as 5th place in the Champions League.
In the subsequent seasons, Hristina Vuchkova played for Telekom Baku in Azerbaijan during the 2012/2013 season, Liu Jo Modena in Italy in 2013/2014, Nilafer Belediyespor in Turkey in 2014/2015, and returned to Telekom Baku for the 2015/2016 season.
In 2016, Hristina Vuchkova made her way back to Turkey, signing a two-year contract with Galatasaray. The team finished 3rd in the CEV Cup and 4th in the Champions League.
She continued her career with Turk Hava Yolları SK in Turkey during the 2018/2019 season, followed by VC Maritza in Bulgaria in 2019/2020, and PTT Spor in Turkey in 2020/2021.
In the 2021/2022 season, Hristina Vuchkova represented Imoco Volley Conegliano, achieving a remarkable Treble by securing the Super Cup of Italy, the Cup of Italy, and the Italian Championship within the same year. She also set a new Guinness World Record with 74 consecutive victories and earned two silver medals at the Club World Cup in Ankara and the Champions League in Ljubljana.
Following her successful tenure in Italy, Hristina Vuchkova signed with Beijing BAIC Motor in China for one season before returning to Turkey to join Fenerbahce Opet for the 2022/2023 season.
In 2023/2024, Hristina Vuchkova played again in China for Liaoning Tengda, finishing 10th in the Chinese National Championship and 7th in the Chinese League. During the year, she also played in the USA for Omaha Supernovas to win the gold at the USA Pro Volleyball Federation.
In 2024/2025 season, Hristina Vuchkova returned to Turkey and signed with Fenerbahce Medicana to win the title at the Sampiyonlar Kupasi Turkiye and finished 5th in the Champions League.
On the international stage, Hristina Vuchkova competes for the Bulgarian national volleyball team. She was a champion of the European League in 2018 and finished as a runner-up in 2010 and 2012.
