Maria Stenzel
Maria Stenzel is a professional volleyball player from Poland, currently representing the Poland women’s national volleyball team as a libero for Grupa Azoty Chemik Police. Her international experience includes participation in the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship, the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U20 World Championship, and the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League.
Born on November 25, 1998, in Koscian, Poland, Maria Stenzel began her athletic journey at a young age, transitioning to volleyball during her school years. Prior to her professional career, she played for the UKS ZSMS Poznan U20 team.
Maria Stenzel commenced her professional career in 2015 with SMS PZPS Szczyrk, where she competed for two seasons, achieving a 9th place finish in the Polish 1. Liga Kobiet in both years.
In 2016, she transferred to VolleyWroclaw, contributing to the team’s third-place finish in the Polish Cup over another two-season tenure.
In 2018, Maria Stenzel joined Grot Budowlani Lodz, where she played for three seasons. During her first season, she celebrated winning the Polish Supercup, secured a second-place finish in the TAURON Liga, and achieved third place in the Polish Cup, while also competing in the Champions League. However, in her second season, the team’s performance declined, resulting in a 5th place finish in both the TAURON Liga and the Polish Cup. In the 2020/2021 season, she once again claimed the Polish Supercup with Grot Budowlani Lodz and finished as the runner-up in the Polish Cup.
In 2021, Maria Stenzel signed with Grupa Azoty Chemik Police, returning to the Champions League. Under her contribution, the team won the TAURON Liga and finished as the runner-up in the Polish Supercup. She remained in the club during the 2022/2023 season, winning the Polish Cup and finishing 9th in the Champions League. However, her club did not become champion in TAURON Liga, finishing 4th, but she was the main player in the team. With Polish national team, Maria Stenzel won the bronze at the Volleyball Nations League 2023 and finished 5th at the European Championships 2023.
In 2023/2024 season, Maria Stenzel moved to MOYA Radomka Radom and finished 6th in the TAURON Liga, 10th in the PreZero Grand Prix PLS and 9th in the Polish Cup. However, with the national team she played at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing 6th, but also won the silver at the Memorial Agaty Mroz-Olszewskiej.
In 2024/2025 season, she signed with KS Commercecon Lodz to win Memorial Michala Cichego and finishing as runner-up at the GIGANCI Siatkowki and Polish Cup. He team also played in CEV Cup to finish 13th.
